Joanne a.k.a Datin’s Birthday!!

We celebrated Datin’s birthday at the F & R restaurant in Likas on the 9^th March 2006. Once again, food became our main agenda and if you notice, most of our pictures will surely include food hehe….We bonded more and more closely as friends as we spent more time with each other and this was indeed a blessing for each and every one of us. This was because none of us ever thought that we would be as close as we are now…thank you God!!

HOW FC?

How FC (Fat Club) Came About….

 

Welcome once again to our blog, dear members and viewers (especially the curious ones) hehe!! All of you must be thinking or saying “These people must be very confident to have such a club like this”. Well, look at FC from a positive perspective, at least we are thankful for how God made us and the world doesn’t only evolve around thin people…right or not FC’s??

            FC was originally not a club but a group of friends under the 2004/2008 TESL batch studying in UMS. Being in a group for multiple assignments, we ended up spending most of our time together. The first outdoor activity done by us was celebrating Angeline a.k.a Asau’s birthday at Joanne’s house in Likas. Unlike other groups, we carried on celebrating each other’s birthday and this led all of us to something that we have in common, and that is FOOD!! Being in the same university, same course and the same group for four years, we decided that it was time for us to have a club of our own. After giving much thought about it, Joanne suggested that we name our club FC which stands for Fat Club!! Haha…we laughed at it at first but accepted it because it represented our passion for the same thing, FOOD!! Yum yum…as I am writing this article also I am craving for a Kit Kat chocolate…you see J!! Below are the list of the original members of our group before it expanded to a bigger FC family…Not only that, the pictures that you see later will see our body developments from a Not So Fat person to an FC member hehe…hope all of you will enjoy browsing our blog!!

It's been awhile

it's been awhile since the last time i posted anything here. been waiting for other member to submit their articles..anyway, it will update soon. so TUNGGGUUUU hehe

RECENT ACTIVITIES (2008) Part 2

LOKAN EATING (SULAMAN) AND ICE SKATING (STAR CITY)

DATE: 30 Jan 2008

When we’re busying sending our posting form at SPPS, this is the time when we planned to eat LOKAN BAKAR…nice lokan bakar along Jalan Sulaman. I’ve been there and I know how delicious it is. For Sharon, Julie, Lidya, that was the first they went and eat lokan there. I don’t know how many lokan that we have eaten, (you can see it from the pictures we’ve took) but it sure so delicious!!!

Moving from there, we went to Transit at Tuaran to what? To EAT again haha…that’s FC. First time for me to go eat there and I believe most of FC hasn’t been there. It was a nice restaurant and the food was good too.

After finish eating, we have nothing to do actually. Some suggest to go to zoo and some suggest to go to ice skating, and we came with conclusion to go ice skating. Wow…again I was at STAR CITY ICE SKATING…gonna play ice skating! Yeahhhhhh…even though that was not the 1^st time I played it, but still I cannot master it. Darn!!! I was afraid of falling down because I did fall last time hehe…Junior, Nola knew how to play and they dare to go around the skating ring and the rest of us just skating like a little kid, even the kid knew how to skate better than us. Such a shame haha (maklumlah baru mau belajar haha)…. While we were enjoying ourselves skating, the was incident happened with Junior. Junior was skating gracefully and happily then suddenly he fell. I was laughing at him actually cz I saw him falling…then he came to us. And what happen is, he bleeding. His leg got ripped for about 2 inch I guess, and he was sending to clinic by Bryan G. I was terrified when I saw his leg bleeding…Oucchhhh!!!! Felt sorry for him.

But it didn’t stop our eagerness to skate, instead we were still skating until the time was over. Nola was the last person to stop…she is crazy about want to learn how to skate from one person who is expert in skating. Overall, we had a great time there. Oppss…meanwhile, where had Mel, Lidya and Jarry go? FYI, they had gone to Kiansom Waterfall without letting us know…they were enjoying themselves there! I wish someday, we will have our picnic there! Let’s consider it FC hehe!

RECENT ACTIVITIES (2008)

Trip to Water World (Tun Fuad Stephen Park).

Date: 28^th January 2008

This was the first time for us to hang out at Water World. Some of us have already been there, and some of us were first timers hehe…the first trip arrived there were myself, Mel, Lidya, Julie and Jarry. Mel was driving the car and we arrived there earlier because we wanted to walk around the park before go swimming. We walked around the park and admiring all the nature that exist there. It was so lovely although the weather was so hot but when you walk below the trees, you did not feel hot at all. Instead, it was cold and ‘nyaman’…we took pictures as we walked and some pictures of the nature as well.

We promised to meet at 3 o’clock (I supposed, don’t remember lah hehe) there but, the rain fell by the time Bryan K, Lieah, Ryl, Sharon and Step arrived. It was a heavy rain that we actually felt sad and disappointed because we thought that we won’t have a chance to swim then. Then, as we waited patiently, the rain stop and Walaaa…we can SWIM!! Thank u GOD! hehe we had a lot of fun swimming, playing around in the pool although most of us cannot swim hahaha, but the fun was the thing we looked forward. Datin and Datuk (her bf… hehe) arrived a little bit late, but both of them did not swim and just watching us swimming. Here are the pictures that we took together inside the pool, outside the pool and around the Park.

After the we swim, we suddenly felt hungry (well you know, FC bah cannot live without food) hahaha…we went to nearby shopping mall – City Mall. We ate at KFC and celebrating Cheryl (20^th Dec), Lidya and Lieah (1^st Jan) Belated Birthday!!! Special thanks to Mel for the Cake. It was delicious cake indeed hehe!!

AN INTRODUCTION TO FC

I believe that many of you out there who browsing this blog don’t have any idea what is FC stand for (expect for the FC’s members lah… :P ). OK here it goes, FC is Fat Club!!! Laughing? Haha…I’m sure you will be laughing out loud when you know it. Well, no harm to us…the reason why we named it FAT CLUB because, as you have in mind…most of us are big. But doesn’t mean that we don’t have thin/slim member in this club, we do have members who are small, slim and thin. Most of us, love to eat…eat as long as the food is on the table. No matter how many the foods are, we will finish it up!!! lol :D so, dare to challenge us when comes to eat :P .

This club is non-registered club, but we plan to register it (guys, we plan to do so, right?). The pretty and curvy Joanne is the president of this club…hehe sweet Indian which we called her ‘DAtin’ because she is so like Datin one hehe. Then, the rest of us are Bryan K, Bryan G, Junior, Jarry, Sharon, Ryl (treasurer), Mel (the creative person in FC), Lidya, Julie, Nicky, Bbie, Nola, Diana, Lieah, Step and Noy (myself) hehe. We’ve done few activities since our first establish in the yr 2007.

WARM WELCOME…

Welcome to FC’s blog!!! This is not the first try of me to blog, indeed this is the 2^nd attempt hehe… the idea of opening blog for FC came across my mind when I was preparing my lunch back at my home. It took me forever to start writing here since I don’t have any idea of what I am going to write. I actually already have idea here inside my mind, but it is not easy to transfer anything here. So, I try to put my ideas one by one. I also hoped that this blog will make US, FC’s members get in touch no matter where we are, what we’re doing, even when one of us getting married, busy with teaching stuffs and so on.
